About

Hello there! I am Jordan McCarther, a multimedia designer from Ohio, USA who primarily specializes in graphic design. Accompanying mediums include web design, video editing, audio editing, photography, and others. My interest in graphic design initially arose out of an affinity for aesthetic design when I first became familiar with internet forums as a child where members of online communities would express themselves through custom designed avatars, banners, footers, and more. I also was captivated by the interface design of interactive kiosks, PDAs, video games, and computer devices. As I grew up I would spend much of my time sketching interfaces on paper or trying to create mockups in whatever digial painting / photo editing program I could. Now years later I still do all of that and much more! Much of my work is inspired by the aesthetic tastes of the late 90s and early 2000s since I was born neighboring the start of the 21st century and those who I grew up with were either Zillennials like myself or Millennials. Currently I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts who specialized in graphic design and is exploring the next step in their career.
My primary skills include researching, rendering, sketching, organizing, and prototyping and I have experience with digital software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, Morphi, XPA, Kdenlive, Audacity, InDesign, GDevelop, and more. Even though I specialized in Graphic Design, a Bachelor's in Fine Arts also requires that one is familiar with fine arts (as the name implies) and mediums such as paint and sculpture have become a part of my multimedia toolset. I have worked on projects such as branding for a small scale FOSS initiative in Europe, an online design company startup known as Fusavu, design packages for 20+ dedicated online communities I built, and commissions for small businesses through graphic design Discord guilds over the years.
